Most of our childbirth education classes are hosted at the maternity boutique, Bellyhaven in Vinings, GA. Birth Doula Support for Pregnancy and Labor

A labor doula, or birth doula, supports a couple through pregnancy and birth from the point that she is employed by the couple. Our birth doulas act as a coach and advocate and are knowledgeable about the facets of labor as well as the medical or home birth environments. Labor doulas support the expectant mother and birth partner as they experience their unique journeys through pregnancy and birth. Lumina Birth doula fees range from approximately $500-750, depending upon the doula's experience and certifications. Contact us for a free consultation. Postpartum Doulas for In-Home Support

A postpartum doula is trained and experienced in helping new mothers ease into a new role and fully enjoy the early weeks or months with their baby. The doula helps with baby care, mother/baby attachment, light housework, older siblings, giving the mother time to rest and heal. It is the postpartum doula’s job to foster the bond between mother and baby, not to be the “baby nurse” or nanny.

Contracts with our postpartum doulas start at 6-8 hours minimum at $20-28/hour, always with the option to contract more time based upon the family’s needs. Breastfeeding Classes and Consulting in Atlanta

Breastfeeding Your Baby Class
Preparation is key for ensuring a positive and beneficial breastfeeding relationship with your newborn. Our prenatal breastfeeding class will equip you and your partner with the necessary knowledge to successfully and naturally nourish your infant from birth. Learn basic breastfeeding skills such as latching, positioning, learning baby’s hunger cues, pumping and overcoming common obstacles. Class Fee is $70 and due in-full when registering. Register Now.

Lactation Consulting: In-Home Support
We offer private breastfeeding classes and in-home lactation consulting with Jessica Cruz, BSN, RN, IBCLC (pre and postpartum). Jessica provides lactation support in your home and is not restricted to work-week hours only! Jessica teaches multiple feeding options if difficulties arise in your baby’s first few weeks. Jessica holds the highest certification possible for lactation consultants and has ongoing experience in the hospital setting.
