BOLD
The BOLD (Born On Labor Day) birth event (9/19) went off well despite the monsoon! Big thanks to all of the organizers at Georgia Friends of Midwives. We had some good conversations with pregnant moms and other birth professionals alike. I loved seeing the community come together to support normal birth and a woman’s right to birth choices. We live in a society full of contradictions when it comes to pregnancy, birth, medical “risk,” protection of families and parents, personal healthcare autonomy, and respect of the mother-baby relationship.
